Oransi Expansion Looks To Improve Chinese Air Pollution

chinese air pollution

Last month, we shipped our first products to China. If you’ve been following the news, you’re probably well aware why we’re targeting the world’s most populated country. Air pollution in the People’s Republic of China is well publicized and we are helping to provide much needed relief.

Reuters reported that last month smog was so bad, schools in one of China’s largest cities were shut down completely. Bus routes were suspended, preventing many workers from getting to their jobs. For anyone trying to travel, airports were closed, holding up flights. Making matters worse, the cloud of frustration lasted more than 24 hours. This increased air pollution has numerous causes.

According to an article from CBS News, one of the main reasons is that as the weather cools, the date when homes can start using their municipal heating systems and burning coal for home heating is government mandated – meaning that everyone turns their heating on simultaneously, subsequently causing massive amounts of smog in one day. So much so, visibility dropped to less than 50 yards in under 24 hours.

When you put matters into measurable statistics, the air pollution amazingly stands out even more. The smog omitted is called PM2.5 – particulate matter with a diameter of 2.5 micrometers or smaller – and typically a level above 300 is considered hazardous by the World Health Organization, with daily levels supposed to be no more than 20. The air in Harbin – the capital of China’s northeastern Heilongjiang province – had a PM2.5 level of 1,000.

Upon hearing these air pollution horror stories, Oransi wanted to help. After all, we pride ourselves in making state of the art air purifiers for a reason. So, to assist the people of China improve their health from the smog, we traveled there and figured out what it would take to start supplying our purification systems to the folks who need it most. After much research, we established distribution and built a Chinese-based website. Now, we look to be one of the few companies exporting a USA-made finished good product to China.

We’re proud of this.

Our company mantra has always been to help allergy sufferers like ourselves from getting overwhelmed by air pollutants, which is exactly what’s happening across China. Since our products have a much more filter media than competitive models – specifically those built in the prominent Asian country, potential Chinese buyers will finally be able to implement the purification power needed to combat the dangerous particulates in their air.

Although the purifiers won’t solve the country’s pollution problems completely, those who choose to invest in an Oransi unit will indeed bring their home air quality back to reasonable levels, allowing them to breathe easier in every aspect of their lives.
